A wounded gunfighter, Quiet Evans (John Wayne), is cared for and cured by a Quacker family. In gratitude, he restores water to their farm which has been shut off by a feisty neighbor, attends the Sunday meeting of friends and then saves a cattle drive attacked by the Laredo gang. He weakens and tries to return to his old drinking, gambling and womanising ways and 'friends' in town but realises his mistake and returns to the farm and to the love of Penelope Quaker girl (Gail Russell).
A good solid Western story beautifully filmed.

Jeb Suart (Errol Flynn) and George Custer (Ronald Reagan) are classmates at West Point, but are forced to part ways in the fight for "Bleeding Kansas" just before the Civil War. Flymm must also combat the illegal activities of the dreaded John Brown (Raymond Massey). The epitome of historical spectacles, this blockbuster was an immediate success upon initial release, and is just as fascinating today as it was when it was released nearly six decades ago.
